NYC challenges at the 2018 Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup One

Three Hawaii yacht clubs challenged defenders Kaneohe Yacht Club outside Kaneohe Bay in the 2018 Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup One. The competition made for some exciting and challenging racing. Jim Saylor and Fast Company with a crew made up of NYC club members from several boat teams represented Nawiliwili Yacht Club.

The racing consisted of 5 races held over 2 days. Yellow Dragon from Kaneohe Yacht Club proved difficult to beat and successfully defended the cup, sealed victory in the 4th race of the regatta. Maymem from Hawaii Yacht Club in second, Zamboni from Waikiki Yacht Club in third and Fast Company in 4th. Kaneohe Yacht club did a fantastic job hosting the regatta and everyone had a great time.
