Singlehanded Transpac – Competitors Arriving in Hanalei

Kato, an Olson 30 skippered by Jiří Šenkyřík is the first to arrive in Hanalei Bay and becomes the first to finish in the 2016 Single Handed Transpac Race from San Franciso, CA to Hanalei Bay, Kauai. Jiří arrived early this morning (Friday, July 15th) and Thor Temme of NYC was there to welcome him and get a couple of photos.

Other competitors have been arriving and on Sunday afternoon, a smiling Vance Sprock on the Cal 40 “Seazed Asset” arrived to a warm and sunny Hanalei Bay. Chris Jordan and friends were there to greet and welcome him. Chris snapped these photos of him dropping sails and celebrating!
